US gay media has expanded in the area of lesbian and gay TV programming in recent years.MTV Networks launched Logo gay TV network in June 2005.
But before the launch of this high profile station, here! lesbian and gay TV was actively competing for the eyes, attention and wallets of lesbian and gay US media consumers.
The network has enjoyed various successes, and is now seeking to build on its position with the launch of a new US 'station domination' billboard advertising campaign. The strategy is focused on the area centred on one of Manhattan's gayest areas.

The strategy is one that we expect to see of increasing importance as traditional gay media spaces such as print and online become increasingly cluttered with competitive noise as more brands develop gay marketing media strategies.
In a landmark buy, here! Networks is the first gay and lesbian company to participate in CBS Outdoor's "Station Domination" advertising program which involves "dominating" every available media space at the 14th Street subway terminal. "An advertising buy of this scope and magnitude represents not only here!'s recent growth but our commitment to continue to build a premium entertainment destination for the LGBT consumer," said Paul Colichman, here!'s Founder and CEO.
