Gay travel and tourism cruise company RSVP Vacations will host the inaugural gay travel charter of arguably the world's most famous ocean liner, the QM2.

RSVP’s gay travel charter of QM2 leaves New York on May 29 and will arrive in Southampton, England, on June 4.

“RSVP is always about pioneering and doing new things,” says Jefferson Coombs, vice president of sales and marketing at RSVP. “It’s the first time a gay group has discussed doing something on the Queen Mary 2. This charter is an opportunity to do something historic.”

“Since this one is transatlantic, it’s all about this ship,” says Bill Ward, director of projects at RSVP vacations. “The other cruises are about the ship and port excursions, but this one is about enjoying being at sea and enjoying the very grand, very luxurious ship and the RSVP events we’re having.”
