Gay Market News reported back in April that the third annual Commercial Closet Association 'Images In Advertising' Awards - recognizing excellence in gay advertising - were being held in New York.
Winners were announced Monday at the Time Warner Center at an awards ceremony hosted by Emmy award winning media personality, Judy Gold.
Out Now Consulting was announced as being winners of the "Outstanding Interactive" category for their Netherlands gay advertising campaign - "OutShots" - created for Lufthansa.
We have been very pleased with various supportive responses we have received for our win.
Creative on the campaign was handled by longtime Out Now designer Ben Zane using imagery supplied by the client. Digital engineering was managed for Out Now by leading Dutch company Arlanet.

The work of Commercial Closet Association is not only important it is vital. Through better representations of GLBT people in gay and mainstream media advertising, gay and lesbian advertising can not only raise the the visibility of gay members of our societies, it also helps to keep us safe.

Out Now Consulting Wins Gay Advertising Award in New York
The third annual Commercial Closet Association 2007 'Images In Advertising' Awards are announced in New York. Lufthansa 'OutShots' gay advertising campaign created by global gay marketing agency Out Now Consulting wins award for "Outstanding Interactive".
New York, US -- (OUT NOW) -- June 14, 2007 -- The third annual Commercial Closet Association 'Images In Advertising' awards recognizing excellence in GLBT advertising have been announced.
The Commercial Closet awards, announced this week at the Time Warner Center in New York, are the acknowledged standard of recognition of excellence for advertising targeting GLBT markets using targeted gay advertising approaches, as well as the reflections of GLBT people presented in general market ads.
This year's winner in the "Outstanding Interactive" category is leading global GLBT marketing and advertising agency specialists, Out Now Consulting.
The winning gay online advertising was created by the agency for its client Lufthansa German Airlines, and targeted gay and lesbian consumers in the Netherlands market. Out Now's 'Lufthansa OutShots' campaign utilized a combination of advertising, PR and database marketing to more effectively position the Lufthansa brand in the GLBT market.
On receiving the award the Founder and CEO of the leading global LGBT agency Out Now, Ian Johnson, said the agency was delighted for its lesbian and gay advertising work to be acknowledged in this way.
