Two years is sometimes a long time and yet sometimes seems like no time at all.
It was two years ago on Sunday that Gay Marketing 101 - the previous name for Gay Market News - made its fairly humble debut.
Since that time we have seen a lot of gay marketing developments and will cover some of the news items of the past two years later this week.
For now though - I thought it as good a time as any to post up something I received from a reader last week who told me she has read Gay Market News since November 2005 when she saw me speak at the Belgium Marketing Foundation seminar I gave to students in Brussels.
Her email was really quite charming, and she enclosed text from an article she had worked on about Out Now.
It is a bit of a time capsule covering some of the many things we do at Out Now Consulting in the areas of LGBT communications, lesbian and gay market research, staff training, gay PR and gay advertising - and so I thought, this week, being the second anniversary of Gay Market News, was a very fitting occasion to let her be our contributor. That is as it should be - as the readers of Gay Market News are the reason we are here. That article is the second item here today and is simply titled 'Gay Marketing by Out Now Consulting'.
